Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ year of experience in maintenance, supervision, or janitorial/landscaping
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to pass a background check, MVR, and post-offer drug screening

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor rest area employees to build a skilled, reliable team
• Lead by example—work side-by-side with your crew on cleaning and maintenance tasks
• Schedule and conduct on-the-job training and orientation for new team members
• Coordinate with Highway Supervisors and Leads on daily operations
• Fill in and support staff during evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
• Perform and oversee grounds/janitorial duties such as: Restocking restrooms, Cleaning shelters, benches, and outdoor fountains, Trash/litter pickup and curb maintenance
• Use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) for scheduling and reporting
• Conduct routine maintenance: flag display, air filter cleaning, septic tank stirring, minor repairs
• Ensure employee training completion using on-site tablets
