This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility. The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of related experience in engineering, manufacturing operations, program management, quality, or related field OR a master’s degree with 5 or more years of experience in engineering, manufacturing operations, program management, quality, or related field.
  • In absence of a degree, 12 or more years of experience in engineering, manufacturing operations, program management, quality, Non-Destructive Testing, or related field
  • Currently hold a Level 3 certification in NDT methods, with specific focus in Ultrasonic Inspection, Eddy Current Inspection, Magnetic Particle Inspection, and Penetrant Inspection

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with training, personnel testing and auditing NDT systems.
  • Experience with immersion Ultrasonic Testing.
  • Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing operations.
  • Knowledge and experience with root cause and process control tools.
  • Experience with SAP and Microsoft suite.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and ensure application of current NDT standards, including NAS‑410 and applicable Pratt & Whitney specifications.
  • Develop, maintain, and administer the company’s NDT Written Practice, including certification requirements, training programs, and recertification processes.
  • Serve as the technical authority for assigned NDT methods, including method selection, technique development, and approval of procedures.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, specifications, standards, planning documents, and contractual requirements to determine appropriate NDT requirements are met.
  • Ensure full compliance with customer, industry, and government regulations governing nondestructive inspection activities.
  • Ensure proper documentation, retention, and traceability of NDT records, reports, and certifications
  • Train, examine, and certify NDT Level I, II, and III personnel in accordance with NAS 410, Pratt & Whitney requirements and applicable industry standards.
