Requirements

  • Ability to perform all essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Level III NDT certifications in radiography, fluor penetrant inspection (FPI). Ability to achieve UT certification within six months.
  • Minimum of 12+ years of industry experience in NDT inspection.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information to employees and customers.
  • Ability to apply statistical concepts, probability, and inference.
  • Working knowledge of geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and manage variables in complex situations.
  • Ability to interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, and scheduled instructions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Frequent walking, hand use, reaching, and communication.
  • Occasional standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Lifting requirements: up to 10 lbs regularly, 25 lbs frequently, and 35 lbs occasionally.
  • Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and potential radiation.
  • Moderate noise environments typical of manufacturing settings.
  • Due to government regulation only US persons (U.S. citizen, U.S. naturalized citizen, U.S. permanent resident, holder of U.S. approved political asylee or refugee status) may be considered for this role.
  • Any offer of employment will also be conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with company policy and applicable federal and state regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
  • Experience with database systems and data analytics preferred.
  • Experience with production of jet engine and/or ground turbine engine components preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and maintain quality objectives aligned with corporate policies and goals.
  • Interpret and communicate quality philosophy to key personnel across the organization.
  • Develop and implement standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
  • Conduct quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company records, and regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Support FAA and AS9100 certification audits. Track findings and manage RCCA actions to closure.
  • Assemble and report feeder data for the weekly Quality Monthly Operations Review (MOR) to Corporate.
  • Support quarterly Quality reviews with Corporate.
  • Drive continuous process improvements within the Quality Department.
  • Plan and execute staffing and training plans, including NDT and FAA Conformity Inspection requirements.
  • Lead root causes corrective action (RCCA) activities.
  • Maintain knowledge of government and industry quality codes and standards, especially FAA 14 CFR Part 21 for Production Certificates, Parts Manufacturer Approvals (PMA) and AS 9100.
  • Actively participate in organizational quality management teams.
  • Actively engage with the Production team daily, including through participation in or delegation to daily Tier meetings.
  • Investigate and resolve customer quality complaints.
  • Obtain Material Review Board (MRB) sign-off capability and ensure sufficient Quality management/supervision inspection staff capability to support daily MRB review and disposition requirements.
  • Supervises 20–30 employees within the Quality Department.
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, performance management, discipline, and employee development in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Assigns and directs work, addresses complaints, and resolves operational issues.
  • Manage the Quality training matrix planning and execution for staff.
