About The Position

Groupe Swagelok Québec is seeking a Business Development Manager to support its growth in the Quebec industrial market. In this role, you will develop new business opportunities related to major industrial projects (CAPEX), collaborate with key industry players, and contribute to positioning Swagelok as a trusted partner for its clients. This is a hybrid role based in Montreal, with occasional travel within the province, offering a base salary of $90,000 to $120,000 plus an annual bonus of up to $5,000.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in business development in an industrial or technical environment.
  • Good understanding of industrial projects and complex sales cycles.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales management tools.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) to communicate with clients, partners, and suppliers across Canada.
  • Availability for occasional travel within the serviced territory.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and develop new commercial opportunities.
  • Develop targeted market penetration strategies.
  • Develop a portfolio of opportunities aligned with the company's growth objectives.
  • Actively participate in the development of new industrial projects and new markets.
  • Develop strong relationships with engineering firms, consultants, contractors, EPCs, and end customers.
  • Influence technical specifications upstream of tender calls.
  • Position Groupe Swagelok Québec as a preferred partner on major industrial projects.
  • Actively monitor major industrial projects and tender calls.
  • Track opportunities in the CRM from identification to completion.
  • Collaborate in the preparation of commercial proposals.
  • Monitor business development performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Represent Groupe Swagelok Québec at trade shows, conferences, and industrial events.
  • Develop a strong professional network within the industrial ecosystem.
  • Organize and lead technical presentations and "Lunch & Learn" activities.
  • Identify and develop strategic partnerships.
