About The Position

Portage CyberTech is seeking a motivated and energetic Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our Inside Sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities through outbound prospecting and inbound lead follow-up. Working closely with the sales team, the BDR will help generate interest in Portage CyberTech's solutions and contribute to pipeline growth across government, enterprise, and professional markets.

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in business development, sales, lead generation, or a related role.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and results oriented.
  • Fluency in both English and French (written and spoken)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using CRM platforms is an asset.
  • Experience selling technology, SaaS, cybersecurity, digital identity, or software solutions is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound prospecting activities through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels.
  • Follow up on inbound leads generated through marketing campaigns, webinars, and events.
  • Research target accounts and identify key decision-makers.
  • Qualify opportunities and schedule meetings for the sales team.
  • Maintain accurate customer and prospect information within the CRM.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Sales teams to support lead generation initiatives.
