About The Position

L3Harris MAS is seeking candidates for a Project Manager position to expand its program management team. The role will be responsible for delivering service support projects in a stimulating, dynamic environment that fosters continuous learning and professional growth. The program management team collaborates with the client, ensures cross-functional alignment, drives project execution, and contributes to achieving overall program objectives within a contractual and performance management framework, while ensuring operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Solid skills in project and change management.
  • Good understanding of the aerospace industry and/or aircraft maintenance operations.
  • Ability to integrate technical, operational, and contractual considerations into project execution, ensuring on-time, within-budget delivery, and compliance with internal guidelines, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Applied experience in the aerospace industry and/or aircraft maintenance operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in project management and/or coordination (any equivalent combination of studies and relevant experience will be considered).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English.
  • Proactive, demonstrates enthusiasm, initiative, and leadership, and shows good skills in planning, organization, monitoring, and decision-making.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to multitask and effectively balance priorities.
  • Responds positively under pressure.
  • Ability to communicate project-related data and details clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal directly with internal and external clients.
  • Autonomous, reliable, demonstrates good judgment.
  • Eligible for registration in the Controlled Goods Program.
  • Eligible for obtaining and maintaining a Canadian government reliability status and Level II / NATO Secret security clearance.
  • Must be able to meet the requirements of US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in change management is an asset.
  • Experience in the Canadian defense industry and in a performance-based contract environment are assets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the project team, prepare and manage deliverables according to internal guidelines and practices, and applicable regulations and standards.
  • In collaboration with the project's financial analyst and other project team members, be responsible for planning and monitoring project execution.
  • Apply the 5 main project management processes: Initiate the project (including obtaining necessary client documentation and holding the kickoff meeting), Plan the project (including developing and submitting the proposed project plan), Execute the project (including monitoring progress and communicating results to stakeholders), Manage risks and changes (including clarification steps with the client and preparing change proposals), and Close the project (including preparing the retrospective analysis and lessons learned).
  • Effectively communicate to keep stakeholders informed of project progress and ensure the project team functions effectively within the organization.
  • Effectively manage client communications regarding status, scope of changes, costs, and schedule.
  • Represent L3Harris MAS during integrated team meetings with the client.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives and the implementation of best practices in project management.
