About The Position

As a Weekend Group Respite Assistant, you will provide personal care and supervision for children with special health care needs in a group setting. Services are provided at our Johnston Respite Center. This role offers flexible hours, with weekend shifts available Friday through Sunday, providing 5 to 19 hours per weekend. It's a great opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children and their families, offering ongoing training and supervision. This position is also a great resume builder for those interested in social work, education, therapy, psychology, and nursing.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old to apply.
Those 18 and over must be willing to provide transportation as a ChildServe authorized driver, if required.
Must pass a motor vehicle record check and car safety check.
Must be able to provide a valid driver’s license and insurance (for those 18+ providing transportation).
Ability to lift up-to 35 lbs.
Ability to be mobile within the assigned work area.
Ability to frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.
Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
