About The Position

A part-time respite companion is sought to support a young boy in the Eau Claire, Wisconsin area. The role involves providing care, companionship, and supervision while helping create fun and meaningful experiences and supporting the member in remaining in their own home as long as possible. Activities include community outings and everyday activities. The Member or their Managing Party is the legal employer if hired; Consumer Direct Care Network assists with recruiting and is not the legal employer of record.

The schedule is 20 hours per week: Sunday, 1 p.m.–4 p.m. (3 hours); Tuesday, 1 p.m.–5 p.m. (4 hours); Wednesday, 1 p.m.–5 p.m. (4 hours); Friday, 1 p.m.–4 p.m. (3 hours); and Saturday, noon–6 p.m. (6 hours).

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable vehicle.
• Current auto insurance.
• Ability to pass a caregiver background check.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is a plus but is not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support, companionship, and supervision.
• Help create fun and meaningful experiences.
• Accompany the member on community outings, such as Action City, 4 Treasures, and other activities.
• Prepare meals.
• Assist with feeding and supervision.
• Help make everyday activities enjoyable and engaging.
