About The Position

This is a part-time opportunity to provide respite care to an individual in Bloomer, Wisconsin. The provider will support the participant in achieving goals, building independence, and participating in the community, while helping them remain in their own home. The role involves providing supervision and support, assisting with daily living activities as needed, and building a positive relationship with the participant. The schedule is 8 hours weekly plus 6 days a month. Pay starts at $10.60 per hour, with up to $154.48 per day for qualifying shifts of 8 hours or longer.

If hired by a Member or their Managing Party, that party—not Consumer Direct Care Network—will be the legal employer and will have sole authority to hire or dismiss the Direct Care Worker. Consumer Direct Care Network assists with recruiting.

Requirements

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, compassionate, and dependable.
• Ability to follow support plans and family preferences.

Nice To Haves

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are preferred.
• Prior caregiving experience is helpful but not always required.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and support in a safe and positive environment.
• Assist with daily living activities as needed, including medication reminders and bathroom routines.
• Support participation in community outings and recreational activities.
• Encourage independence, confidence, and skill development.
• Help establish routines and provide structure when appropriate.
