About The Position

Provide respite support to a fun-loving, creative young girl in New Berlin, Wisconsin. The role involves actively participating in her preferred activities and helping create positive, meaningful experiences. Activities she enjoys include singing, dancing, dress-up, arts and crafts, games, community outings, visits to pumpkin farms, and family time at the race track. Provide supervision and companionship in a safe, supportive environment. The family has cats, so the provider must be comfortable around pets. The position is 10 hours per week at $14.13 per hour. If hired by a Member or their Managing Party, that person or party—not Consumer Direct Care Network—will be the legal employer and will have sole authority to hire or dismiss the worker.

Requirements

• Patient, dependable, engaging, playful, and interactive personality.
• Comfort around cats and other pets in the home.

Nice To Haves

• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Experience supporting individuals with seizure disorders.
• Confidence responding appropriately in the event of a seizure; an emergency plan will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Support ongoing potty-training efforts.
• Encourage participation in activities.
• Provide supervision and companionship in a safe and supportive environment.
• Actively participate in the young girl’s preferred activities, including singing, dancing, dress-up, arts and crafts, games, and community outings.
