About The Position

Jovie is hiring compassionate, dependable caregivers to provide in-home respite care for children with support needs throughout the San Jose area. If you have childcare experience and enjoy creating fun, engaging experiences while giving families the support they need, this is a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact. Whether you've worked as a nanny, babysitter, daycare teacher, preschool teacher, paraprofessional, camp counselor, or have other professional childcare experience, we'd love to meet you.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional childcare experience
• Enjoy working with children of all ages
• Dependable, patient, and engaging
• Communicate well with both children and parents
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Can provide three references (at least two childcare-related and one character reference)
• At least 18 years old

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting children with support needs is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, engaging in-home care for children with support needs
• Create fun activities, including crafts, games, reading, imaginative play, and outdoor activities
• Help children feel safe through patience, consistency, and encouragement
• Support daily routines while maintaining a positive, structured environment
• Communicate with parents about each child's day and individual needs
• Build meaningful relationships with local families
