About The Position

At Saint Alphonsus Health System, we are looking for people who are living out their calling. We want you to be passionate about coming to work, and challenged to achieve your potential. Living by these virtues, we pride ourselves on exceptional service and the highest quality of care. As a Respiratory Therapy Technician, you'll play an essential role in supporting patients across the hospital while gaining valuable hands-on experience alongside experienced Respiratory Therapists. This is an excellent opportunity for students and aspiring respiratory professionals to strengthen their clinical skills in a dynamic healthcare environment. In this role, you'll help provide respiratory care treatments and support services that directly impact patient outcomes. Working under physician orders and established protocols, you'll assist with non-invasive ventilation management (BiPAP/NPPV), medication aerosol treatments, bronchial hygiene therapies, lung expansion therapies, basic life support and CPR response, and respiratory equipment preparation, cleaning, and maintenance. You'll also be involved in supply management, stocking, and inventory support. You'll be trusted to recognize changes in patient conditions, communicate concerns promptly, and contribute to safe, high-quality patient care. Every shift offers opportunities to learn, grow, and build experience in a hospital-based respiratory care setting. This role is exciting because you will gain valuable clinical experience while completing your Respiratory Therapy education, work alongside experienced Respiratory Therapists and interdisciplinary care teams, build confidence with respiratory equipment, patient therapies, and hospital operations, develop skills in patient assessment, respiratory treatments, and non-invasive ventilation, and make a meaningful impact on the care of adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
