Respiratory Therapy Director
About The Position
Minden Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapy Director to lead cardiopulmonary services and ensure safe, high-quality care across the hospital, with a strong focus on airway management. You’ll set departmental direction, align policies and resources, and drive performance. Contributes toward attainment of hospital goals and objectives. Directs operational plans, resource allocation and policies of the department. Directs the work and responsibilities of the department employees. Responsible for meeting financial and budget requirements. Works with the lab manger and Lab Medical director to maintain compliance for the ABG lab. Works M-F and varied shifts to maintain the stability of the department, as the schedule warrants.
Requirements
- Current Respiratory (LRT) licensure with the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners
- AHA CPR required
- 5 years acute-care respiratory therapy experience
- 2 years clinical management preferred

Responsibilities
- Direct operational plans, staffing, and workflow for the Cardiopulmonary department
- Guide clinical standards spanning mechanical ventilation, ventilator management, oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, airway clearance techniques, and noninvasive ventilation (CPAP/BiPAP)
- Oversee arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis compliance in partnership with the Lab Manager and Lab Medical Director
- Manage departmental budgeting and financial targets
