About The Position
Jefferson Hospital has a well-equipped emergency room, which utilizes hospital staff and contract physicians. Support services are provided for both inpatients and outpatients and the scope of service is consistent with the current mission of the hospital to provide quality community-based primary health care to Jefferson and surrounding counties. We’re seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Jefferson Hospital.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree for RRT from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
- Current CRT/RCP license in the State of Georgia.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Current PALS certification
Responsibilities
- Provides daily care of all patients that have ordered therapy provided by the Cardiopulmonary Department.
- Performs and explains blood gas results and arterial punctures at the radial, brachial and femoral arteries
- Conducts sterile procedures when warranted and understands standard precautions in accordance with the Infection Control Policy.
- Manages and operates respiratory equipment and devices in a safe and effective manner to assist patients. Troubleshoots basic equipment issues.
