A Respiratory Therapist who excels in this role: Examines patients with breathing related conditions and conducts diagnostic testing. Consults with physicians to develop and implement a treatment plan for the patient. Performs physiotherapy and other treatments. Teaches patients to use medication.

Requirements

• Licensed as a Respiratory Therapist by the VA Board of Health Professions and in good standing with the board.
• Basic Life Support certification is required upon hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within 90 days of hire.
• NRP within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of hospital-based experience in Respiratory Therapy preferred.

Responsibilities
