About The Position

Regency Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) to provide inpatient post-ICU care to chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. The role provides respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions and contributes to compassionate, high-quality patient treatment.

The position is full-time on the night shift, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., in Portage, Indiana. Compensation is $32.69–$44.00 per hour. The employer offers an extensive orientation program, career development opportunities, and benefits for eligible full-time team members.

Requirements

• Active CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or a state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation: college transcript/diploma preferred, or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the start date.
• Current state licensure.
• ACLS certification within six months of hire. Agency respiratory therapists must have ACLS by their first shift; PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire.

• One year of related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.
