Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) - Full-time Nights
About The Position
Regency Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU care to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. Respiratory Therapists provide compassionate respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions. The position is based in Portage, Indiana, and is full-time on the night shift, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Compensation is $32.69–$44.00 per hour. The hospital offers an extensive respiratory therapist orientation program, tuition reimbursement and continuing education, a clinical ladder program, a student debt benefit program, and generous PTO for full-time team members. Requirements
- Must possess an active CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
- Proof of graduation is required: college transcript/diploma preferred, or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
- Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the start date.
- Current state licensure is required.
- ACLS is required within six months of hire. Agency respiratory therapists must have ACLS by their first shift, and PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire.

Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and recommend appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
- Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
- Promote continuous quality improvement.
- Teach and counsel patients and families.
