Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join their Critical Care Transport Team, specializing in neonatal and pediatric patients. This role involves providing critical care during ambulance and fixed-wing transports, assessing patients, and utilizing established protocols to treat medical conditions. The therapist will critically think and adapt to the dynamic transport environment, managing respiratory needs through airway management, medications, NIV, and invasive ventilations. After orientation, the position will be based at the Neonatal and Pediatric Transport Team’s Clarksville Base. The Critical Care Neonatal and Pediatric Transport Team at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt is a CAMTS accredited team providing high-level care in ground and fixed-wing transport. The team comprises highly trained respiratory therapists, registered nurses, and AEMTs who practice at the highest level of their scope and cross-train into the nursing role. The team is supported by strong leadership and educators dedicated to a positive work environment, quality patient care, and continuous learning and development.
