With the majority of time spent in the branch, you’ll have consistent routines while still supporting patients with hands-on respiratory care and education when needed. You’ll play a key role in ensuring patients receive safe, effective home respiratory equipment with clear education and compassionate support.

Requirements

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active MN RT license.
  • SC License preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Open to various experience levels; preference for experienced candidates.
  • DME experience is a plus.
  • Ability to stand, lift, push and/or pull objects ranging from 10 – 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Comfortable using mobile technology, navigation tools, and digital documentation.
  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
  • Hold a current RCP license in the state of practice (or states that the location covers) if that state requires an RCP license to allow the practice of respiratory therapy.
  • Hold a current CPR Certification.
  • Hold all applicable licensure in good standing for all states of practice.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow‑ups.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Assess patient needs, document care delivered and escalate concerns appropriately.
  • Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs, Collaborating with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams.
  • Maintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop.
  • Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment, including, but not limited to, oxygen therapy, nebulization therapy, apnea monitoring, suctioning, PAP, invasive and non-invasive ventilation.
  • Inspects and tests equipment to ensure proper operating condition.
  • Perform clinical assessments and tests such as pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry and gathering vital signs.
  • Performs other duties as required.
