About The Position

Performs routine cleaning throughout units of Surgical Center.

Requirements

• Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to maintain a safe work environment.
• Skill in anticipating and reacting calmly to emergency situations.
• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
• Ability to maintain quality control standards.
• Ability to communicate clearly.
• Must be able to perform tasks (e.g. speaking, writing, and spelling) at a level normally performed by someone with a high school education as demonstrated by past performance.

Nice To Haves

• One-year experience in a hospital or medical office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms and corridors.
• Prioritize work received and complete in a timely manner.
• Performs other work duties and assignments as required.
• Assume responsibility for own actions and behaviors.
• Maintains the rights, dignity, and confidentiality of the patient.
• Participates in the OSC emergency, fire, and disaster drills.
• Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.
• Follows all OSC Policies and Procedures.
• Attends required in-services and educational programs.
• Performs other related duties as requested or assigned.
