About The Position

The Respiratory Therapist provides patient care in critical care, step-down, and general care areas at Lincoln Medical Center. The role requires the ability to perform and recommend procedures involving bronchial hygiene, oxygen therapy, respiratory diagnostic procedures, and all levels of mechanical ventilation. The therapist must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize and change tasks quickly, and communicate effectively.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Care.
• Tennessee state licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Must be registered or registry eligible by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• BLS certification is required for the hiring process.
• Clinical experience obtained while attending a Respiratory Care program, with ability to function in critical settings including initiation and support of mechanical ventilation.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.
• Ability to perform and recommend procedures in bronchial hygiene, oxygen therapy, respiratory diagnostic procedures, and all levels of mechanical ventilation.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with intubation.
• Critical care transport competencies.
