About The Position

Big Bend Regional Medical Center is a community medical provider serving the Big Bend region of Texas with emergency, laboratory, women’s, and surgical services. The Respiratory Therapist evaluates and assesses patients’ needs, formulates treatment plans, and provides respiratory therapy services defined in those plans. The role works cooperatively with physicians, case managers, and other healthcare staff, and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The position performs a variety of tasks and requires a degree of creativity and latitude. It typically reports to a manager.

This is a full-time day-shift position with 6 a.m.–6 p.m. hours and flexible or set schedule options. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered with an 18-month commitment.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree.
• Must be registered or certified.
• Current Texas RCP License.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the field.

Nice To Haves

• NRP is preferred but not required at time of hire.
• Neonatal and pediatric experience is a plus.
