About The Position

The Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory therapy services, including administering oxygen, applying ventilators, and initiating, assessing, and recommending respiratory care services, including diagnostic studies, under physician supervision. The therapist actively and consistently demonstrates the mission, vision, values, and guiding principles of Maple Grove Hospital.

This is a casual part-time, on-site position at North Memorial Health’s Maple Grove Hospital. Shifts may be 8 or 12 hours and may fall on days or nights. There is no weekend or call requirement. The role is non-exempt and not eligible for benefits. The salary range is $40.80–$55.47, based on experience; shift differential may apply depending on position and shift worked.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved JRCRTE/COARC respiratory program.
• At least 1 year of prior Respiratory Therapist experience is required; new graduates from an accredited Respiratory Therapist school will also be considered.
• Ability to take initiative and work as a self-motivated, independent, accountable, and dependable performer.
• Effective planning, time-management, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
• Solid PC skills, including electronic medical records, Microsoft applications, and internet use.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to express information clearly and concisely for the audience.
• Ability to handle conflict positively and consider the needs, feelings, and capabilities of others.
• Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; work visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Prior Respiratory Care Practitioner/Therapist experience and Level 3 NICU experience preferred.
