About The Position

Provides emergent, critical, and restorative respiratory care through patient assessment, intervention, education, and evaluation. In the acute care inpatient hospital setting, performs general and critical care respiratory care procedures and diagnostics for patients ranging from neonates through adults. The role includes mechanical ventilation management, airway management, bronchoscopy assistance, critical care transport, arterial blood gas puncture, medication delivery, bronchial hygiene, patient assessments, and education.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited respiratory care or therapy program.
• Hold state licensure in the appropriate state of practice upon hire, or have applied and be awaiting licensure, which must be awarded within 30 days of hire.
• Obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Minnesota and North Dakota: Hold and maintain National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Certified Respiratory Therapist, or equivalent.

Responsibilities
