About The Position

The CLN Respiratory Therapist is responsible for pulmonary diagnostic procedures. Secondary clinical responsibilities include knowledge of and assistance with all aspects of pulmonary rehabilitation and smoking cessation. The role supports the successful operation of the CLH and related services in accordance with the philosophies and organizational goals of Huntsville Hospital.

Requirements

Must be licensed by the ASBRT.
BLS certification is mandatory for employment.
Experience as a respiratory therapist in a critical care environment is required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.
Excellent communication skills and presentation abilities.
Ability to organize work, accomplish goals and objectives, meet deadlines, and solve problems using discretion and sound judgment.
Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.

Nice To Haves

Registry by the N.B.R.C. is preferred.
Experience in pulmonary diagnostic testing is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform pulmonary diagnostic procedures.
Provide knowledge and assistance with pulmonary rehabilitation and smoking cessation.
Support the successful operation of the CLH and related services in accordance with Huntsville Hospital’s philosophies and organizational goals.
Perform and recommend procedures in bronchial hygiene, including delivery of medications via aerosol and MDI, oxygen therapy, arterial blood gas collection, pulmonary function testing, and cardiac monitoring.
