This role operates primarily in a fast-paced office setting, coordinating clinical services, managing equipment setups, and supporting patient care across multiple branch locations. It is a high-volume position requiring efficient management of multiple patient equipment setups and education sessions each day, alongside remote compliance monitoring. The work is primarily clinic-focused during regular hours, with participation in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule and flexibility to provide in-home care or support other branches as needed. Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential. The Respiratory Therapist evaluates patient needs, selects appropriate respiratory equipment and services, educates patients and caregivers, coordinates care with physicians and community agencies, and supports continuity of care. The role also handles equipment and service orders, compliance monitoring, documentation, insurance authorizations, office operations, staff training, equipment maintenance tracking, and respiratory-care education. The position requires occasional home visits or travel between branches. This is a full-time position with a 40-hour work week, generally 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The position includes an on-call rotation and overtime as needed. Patient-care physical demands may include driving, walking, standing, lifting and carrying equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, using stairs, and working in various weather conditions.
