About The Position
This is a Part Time Respiratory Therapist (RCP) position at Mercy Chula Vista Hospital, working 36 hours per two-week period. The role is designed for new RCP graduates as part of our new grad program. Training will be full-time, transitioning to a part-time role upon completion. Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Enjoys working with the public.
- Must be able to speak, read, and follow instructions in English.
- Technically competent in the department skills inventory. Computer literate.
- Current California RCP license.
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.

Responsibilities
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates actions for respiratory care.
- Performs all technical diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to respiratory care and other core responsibilities necessary to maintain the flow of patient care and comfort in the unit.
- Responds to critical situations.
- Utilizes computer systems in performing position duties.
- Adheres to Hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Participates in Quality Control, preventative maintenance, and performance improvement activities.
