About The Position

Assists in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders. Collects and analyzes sputum, blood, and breath specimens to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases. Measures patients’ lung capacity to determine whether impairment is present. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, and performs a variety of tasks with a certain degree of creativity and latitude. Typically reports to a manager.

Requirements

• Associate's degree.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential.
• May be expected to maintain CPR certification.
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the field.
