About The Position

Fitzgibbon Hospital is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to provide care in a rural healthcare practice. The successful candidate will have hospital respiratory therapy experience, a compassionate and caring attitude, and the ability to work independently and stay motivated. The role involves creating and delivering patient therapy programs based on physician instructions, evaluating and treating cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormal functions, responding to emergencies, and contributing to staff development. The position is scheduled for day shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., totaling 72 hours every two weeks.

Requirements

Experience working as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital setting.
A compassionate and caring attitude.
A proven ability to be self-motivated.

Responsibilities

Handle emergency patient situations efficiently by following established protocols, remaining calm, notifying appropriate personnel, and documenting events.
Participate in staff development by sharing knowledge and using appropriate teaching and learning strategies to assist peers.
Create therapy programs for patients based on physicians’ specific instructions.
Perform diagnostic evaluation, treatment, and control of deficiencies and abnormal functions in patients’ cardiopulmonary systems.
