About The Position

PAM Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to provide care to a diverse patient population at its specialty hospital. The role performs routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures and maintains equipment in working order. It also provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested. The position requires one weekend and one holiday. Prior inpatient hospital experience is valued, though a commitment to learn is also considered.

Requirements

• Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital is located to practice respiratory care.
• Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Blood gas licensure is required if employed in Nevada.
• For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required.

Nice To Haves

• Prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.
• At least one year of clinical respiratory experience is preferred.
• An associate degree is preferred for hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine respiratory therapy procedures.
• Perform diagnostic and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for hospital patients.
• Maintain respiratory care equipment in working order.
• Provide phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing for patients as required or requested.
