About The Position

Trace Solutions is seeking a Per Diem Respiratory Therapist for a Developmental Center in Norwalk, CT. This role involves administering respiratory therapies, operating ventilatory support, performing diagnostic procedures, documenting patient care, participating in emergencies, and developing care protocols. The position is per diem, approximately 20 hours per week, with an ongoing contract.

Requirements

Active Connecticut Respiratory Care Practitioner license issued by the Connecticut Department of Public Health.
Current CRT or RRT credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (RRT preferred).
Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
Experience with mechanical ventilation and cardiopulmonary diagnostics.

Responsibilities

Administer advanced and basic respiratory therapies, including mechanical ventilation, aerosol treatments, intermittent positive pressure breathing, sputum induction, and postural drainage.
Set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot all types of ventilatory support.
Perform cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures, including blood gas analysis and pulmonary function testing.
Accurately document respiratory treatments, assessments, and patient responses in patient records.
Participate in emergency and resuscitative efforts as required.
Develop respiratory care protocols, provide staff education and training, and ensure proper cleaning, maintenance, and functionality of respiratory equipment.
