About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and motivated Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care in an acute care setting. This role requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Requirements

• Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Respiratory Therapy
• Active New York State Respiratory Therapist license/registration
• Minimum of 2 years of post-degree acute care experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to pass pre-employment health clearance
• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) certification issued by NCTRC – Required
• Proven experience in respiratory therapy
• Minimum 1+ year of clinical experience (acute care preferred)
• Ability to perform patient care duties independently

Responsibilities

• Administer positive pressure and aerosol therapies
• Initiate, monitor, and adjust oxygen therapy
• Assist physicians with initiation and maintenance of mechanical ventilation
• Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) as needed
• Conduct pulmonary function testing
• Perform radial arterial punctures
• Deliver comprehensive respiratory care with minimal orientation and supervision
