About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner / Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to support the Respiratory Care Department. This role focuses primarily on Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) within a fully equipped lab environment, with additional clinical support as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of Pulmonary Function Testing experience (required)
• Experience in a functioning PFT lab (required)
• 3 years experience with Spirometry, Plethysmography, DLCO, 6-Min Walk Test, and ABGs (required)
• Active New York State Respiratory Therapist License (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• Graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Care Program (A.A.S. or B.S., as applicable)

Nice To Haves

• Assist with intubation procedures (preferred)
• 2 years ICU experience (preferred)
• ACLS certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs), including:
• Spirometry
• Plethysmography
• DLCO
• 6-Minute Walk Tests
• Obtain and analyze arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Operate and troubleshoot respiratory diagnostic equipment
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
• Demonstrate working knowledge of mechanical ventilation and ventilators
• Provide respiratory care support in ICU settings as required
• Assist with intubation procedures (preferred)
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Utilize computer applications for charting and reporting
