About The Position

The Certified Respiratory Therapist shall perform duties involved with the treatment, management control, diagnostic evaluation, and care of patients with deficiencies and/or abnormalities within the Pulmonary system. Communicates with Physician and Respiratory team regarding patients progress in regards to care plan. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.

Requirements

• Active ASBRT LRT required
• Active NBRC CRT required
• BLS required
• Degree in Respiratory Therapy
• RRT must be obtained within 12 months in position
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to successfully complete work within rigid time constraints
• Reasoning ability and good independent judgment
• Continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person
• Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range

Nice To Haves

• Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc) may be required depending upon area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties involved with the treatment, management control, diagnostic evaluation, and care of patients with deficiencies and/or abnormalities within the Pulmonary system.
• Communicate with Physician and Respiratory team regarding patients progress in regards to care plan.
• Assist and maneuver patients to and from wheelchairs, stretchers and beds.
• Occasional interfacility transport via ground transportation.
