Respiratory Therapist FT Nights
About The Position
The RRT is to provide respiratory care for all patients in all areas of NMC. Responsible for airway management procedures (including but not limited to oxygen therapy, ventilator set up and maintenance, emergency procedures, respiratory therapy treatment modalities), arterial punctures, and EKG procedures to patients in assigned areas. Responsible for complete documentation according to the hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Reports change in status of patient and/or patient diagnostic procedure results to physician and/or appropriate hospital personnel. Requirements
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
- Ability to perform airway management procedures
- Proficiency in oxygen therapy, ventilator set up and maintenance, emergency procedures, and respiratory therapy treatment modalities
- Skilled in arterial punctures and EKG procedures
- Ability to complete documentation accurately and timely
- Effective communication skills to report patient status changes and results
Responsibilities
