Ambulatory Pulmonary Clinic at FFT - Respiratory Therapist – Level 2/3
About The Position
The Respiratory Therapist provides competent patient care according to established standards in a fast-paced outpatient pulmonary clinic and lab. The role includes pulmonary function testing (PFT), patient education, and other patient care activities, working closely with pulmonary physicians, registered nurses, and respiratory therapists. The position has an expanded scope that may include serving as a preceptor, participating on committees, and performing advanced respiratory care procedures. This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule and no weekends, holidays, or night shifts.
Requirements
- New York State licensed Respiratory Therapist.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work in a busy outpatient setting.
- Energetic, positive, flexible, hardworking, and team-oriented.
Responsibilities
- Provide competent patient care based on established standards.
- Perform pulmonary function testing (PFT).
- Educate patients and carry out other patient care activities.
- Work closely with pulmonary physicians, registered nurses, and respiratory therapists.
- Assume an expanded role that may include precepting, participating on committees, and performing advanced respiratory care procedures.
