About The Position

I. Position Summary: Assesses patients, performs diagnostics, assists, and consults with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Administers the prescribed therapy to patients based on physician orders. May also be required to become proficient in the operation of Pulmonary Lab, cardiovascular and neurology equipment and in the performance of related duties except where additional licensure is required. Will perform in areas of cardiology including electrocardiograms, echocardiography, cardiac and pulmonary stress testing, and electroencephalography where deemed competent. II. Qualifications: A. Education & Training: Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Therapist educational program. B. Experience: None C. Required Certification/Registration/Licensure: Current licensure by the Composite State Board of Georgia. Current RRT as recognized by the National Board for Respiratory Care. Current AHA/ARC BLS certification. Current AHA ACLS/ARC ALS and NRP certification or obtained within three (3) months of hire. Current AHA/ARC PALS certification or obtained within nine (9) months of hire. D. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must have good working knowledge in the use of equipment used for the diagnosis and treatment of patients receiving routine and critical respiratory care. Requirements
