This position assists Respiratory Therapists with caring for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders. The trainee position is specifically for candidates who are close to graduation/Board certification/licensure. Requirements
- Current Respiratory Therapist student who will be graduating next spring.
- Obtain certification.

Responsibilities
- Assists Respiratory Therapists with delivery and assessment of patient care plans.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the extent allowed based on unlicensed status.
- Assists in evaluating respiratory care policies and procedures based on patient outcomes, current research, and best practices.
- Assists in educating patients and family members about the patient's illness and provides information about community support groups and other resources.
- Will be transferred to Respiratory Therapist (6903) position upon receipt of degree, Board certification, and licensure.
