About The Position

AlphaBEST Education provides extended-day, summer, and enrichment programs designed to inspire and engage students as they discover and learn beyond the school day in a fun, safe environment. As an AlphaBEST Group Leader, you'll help shape meaningful before and after-school moments that help kids learn, grow, and thrive. You'll gain valuable experience working with children and collaborating with a team. This role is ideal for students studying: Education, Child Development, Psychology, Social Work, Recreation or Youth Development.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Must be 18 years old
• 16 hours towards child care trainings (Including CPR/First Aid)
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds)
• 6 months of experience working with school-aged children

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts)
• Make child safety the top priority at all times
• Keep the space clean and organized
• Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included
• Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff
