This position represents patient care directed toward pediatric critical care areas, step down areas, general care areas and Kids Care transports. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Must be licensed by the ASBRT and registered by the NBRC or credentialed as a Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) by the NBRC.
  • Clinical experience obtained while attending Respiratory program and will be able to function in critical settings including initiation, and support of, mechanical ventilation.
  • Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.
  • Must have the ability to perform and recommend procedures in all areas of bronchial hygiene, oxygen therapy, respiratory diagnostic procedures, and all levels of mechanical ventilation.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification of PALS or ACLS is preferred for all applicants
  • Certification of BLS is preferred for hiral processes
  • Additional experience relating to intubation and Kids Care transport competencies are preferred upon hiral and mandatory within 2 years of employment: Employees hired before July 1, 2013 must meet this requirement by July 1, 2015. All other applicants will have two years from the date of employment.
