About The Position

The Respiratory Therapist (RT) is responsible for the delivery, set-up and training of patients of respiratory equipment and provide quality patient services. RT will represent the company in a professional and courteous manner in all interactions with the clients and patients.

Requirements

Valid California Respiratory Care Practitioner or Registered Respiratory Therapist license
2+ years experience as a Respiratory Care practitioner
Excellent organization, follow-up skills, and the ability to multi-task
Demonstrated ability to listen and communicate in an empathetic manner
Ability to communicate professionally and tactfully, both orally and in writing.
Basic Insurance/ contract understanding
Ability to read and understand sleep study reports
Self-starter, motivated and detail-oriented
Ability to resolve issues in a timely manner
Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations
Must possess a valid driver’s license in good standing

Responsibilities

Deliver and set-up respiratory equipment/services. Equipment includes but is not limited to: CPAP, BIPAP, suction unit, apnea monitor and ventilator.
Demonstrate equipment and give proper training to patient/caregiver.
Pick up equipment when use is disconnected.
Clean and test equipment to make patient-ready.
Answer patient phone calls and follow-up with patients, administrators, and physicians
Assist warehouse team as needed.
Pull supplies for mail delivery.
Schedule appointments with patients
Troubleshoot equipment as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Must participate in mandatory on-call and call-back program to respond to emergencies
