About The Position

Kimes Nursing and Rehab is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join their skilled nursing team. As a key member of their interdisciplinary care group, you’ll help residents breathe easier, recover faster, and live better. You’ll work hands-on with patients who rely on your expertise, compassion, and critical-thinking skills every day. This is a rewarding opportunity for a respiratory care professional who enjoys building relationships with patients and staff in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Current license as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) in the state of Ohio.
  • BLS/CPR certification required; ACLS preferred.
  • Experience in long-term care or sub-acute rehab settings preferred, but new grads are welcome to apply.
  • Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and communication skills.
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude and a genuine passion for patient care.

Nice To Haves

  • ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality respiratory therapy services to residents in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
  • Administer and monitor oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and other respiratory treatments.
  • Manage and maintain respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen systems.
  • Educate patients, families, and staff on respiratory care techniques and preventive practices.
  • Collaborate closely with nursing, rehabilitation, and medical staff to ensure continuity of care.
  • Document all care provided in compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations.
