Respiratory Therapist II
About The Position
Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is hiring a full-time Respiratory Therapist for the night shift. This position is open to both Registered and Certified Respiratory Therapists. Experienced and new graduates may qualify. A relocation and moving allowance is available for candidates outside the geographic area. Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is a 276-bed acute care facility with specialized, tertiary services. It holds Magnet Status, is the region's only Level III Trauma Center, and houses the Sentara Heart Center, which offers cardiac services with outcomes exceeding national standards. The hospital is also recognized as one of Virginia's ten Advanced Primary Stroke Centers by the Joint Commission. Additional clinical services include a Palliative Care Program, Coastal Cancer Center, Diabetes Center, Orthopedics, an Accredited Sleep Disorders Center, and an Inpatient Rehab Unit.
Requirements
- Associates or Bachelor's degree required. Non-degreed applicants with RRT credentials prior to January 1, 2006 and graduates from a military RT program with RRT credentials will also be considered.
- State Respiratory license
- NBRC RRT
- BLS required at time of hire.
- For new graduates only, must have State license and BLS at time of hire, and must obtain NBRC RRT within 6 months of hire date.
- 1 year Respiratory Care experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care services.
- Administer treatments and therapies as prescribed.
