About The Position

Under general supervision, administers respiratory care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities. Acts as lead therapist when assigned and performs other duties as requested by management, in accordance with established Policies and Procedures within the job specification.

Requirements

• Complete an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
• Ability to administer respiratory care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities.
• Ability to act as lead therapist when assigned for all areas.
• When acting as lead therapist, ability to provide NICU patient care, including ventilator and oxygen assessment.
• Current State licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist from the Department of Health and State of Florida.
• Current BLS certification.
• Less than one year of critical care experience for ventilator management.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Three or more years of previous Respiratory Therapist experience in a major health care facility.
