About The Position

This role involves performing evaluations and providing high-level care for patients with complex respiratory insufficiencies. The Respiratory Therapist will analyze patient needs to determine treatment types and frequencies, implement and monitor respiratory equipment and advanced care modalities, and educate patients and families on conditions, community resources, and long-term support programs. The position also requires providing intervention during code situations and life-critical events.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Licensed Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts required. A Respiratory Care Practitioner license issued by the Missouri Board of Respiratory Care will be accepted for incumbent working in the state of Missouri.
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Nice To Haves

Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy ofPediatrics (AAP) preferred.
