About The Position

AdvisaCare is hiring Respiratory Therapists to provide skilled and private duty care in Muskegon, Michigan, and surrounding areas. The role involves delivering professional, compassionate respiratory care across a variety of settings and patient needs, supporting patients and helping improve their quality of life. PRN opportunities are available, with the option to work one shift per month to remain active.

Requirements

Be registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
Hold a Michigan state license as a Respiratory Therapist.
Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
Have knowledge of modern principles, methods, materials, and equipment.
Know possible hazards to patients and appropriate precautions.
Have at least 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience.
Have problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask.
Have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Be able to work responsibly both in a team and independently.
Be compassionate and have good communication skills.
Be able to pass a drug screen and clear a background check.

Responsibilities

Manage records, complete necessary paperwork, and perform patient assessments.
Work independently.
Educate patients and administer all aspects of respiratory therapy, including mechanical ventilation.
Participate in training and transitioning patients from a facility to the home setting.
Comply with policies and standards for safety and infection control.
Perform duties courteously and with a customer-focused approach, in accordance with AdvisaCare standards of practice.
