Requirements

Associate’s degree
Basic Life Support (BLS) required one month from hire/transfer date
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) six months from hire/transfer date
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) six months from hire/transfer date
NRP

Responsibilities

Delivers routine therapy as delegated by a therapist.
Responds to codes and calls for emergent assistance.
Assesses patient condition and delivers appropriate treatment.
Monitors, records, and communication patient condition.
Educates the patient and family about the patient's illness and provides information about community support groups and other resources.
Monitors, receives stocks, and distributes respiratory care supplies and medical gas cylinders.
Maintains storage areas with required supply levels and equipment.
Disassembles, cleans, and sterilizes equipment, and perform preventative maintenance and calibration of machines.
