About The Position

[Your Hospital/Clinic Name] is seeking a Student Respiratory Therapist to support its Respiratory Care team while gaining hands-on clinical experience in patient care. The position is intended for students currently enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. Students work under supervision, learn to operate and maintain respiratory equipment, monitor patients’ respiratory status, and develop skills for future employment in respiratory care. The role offers a supportive clinical environment and mentorship from experienced Respiratory Therapists. Scheduling is flexible to accommodate a school program. Compensation is hourly, starting at $18, with potential evening/night and weekend shift incentives according to company policies and applicable job codes. A performance-based bonus may be available subject to eligibility criteria and defined metrics. A sign-on bonus is available upon passing boards. Additional bonus details are provided during the interview process or upon hire.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
Strong interest in patient care and respiratory health.
Ability to follow directions and work well in a team environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification, or willingness to obtain it.

Responsibilities

Assist the Respiratory Therapy team with daily patient care under supervision.
Observe and participate in the administration of respiratory treatments and therapies.
Learn to operate and maintain respiratory equipment.
Monitor patients’ respiratory status and report changes to supervising staff.
Follow safety protocols and maintain patient confidentiality.
