About The Position

Under the direct supervision of a respiratory therapist, assists in the administration of prescribed doses of medical gases and the set-up and administration of therapeutic treatment and aerosolized drugs to patients. Uses oxygen mixtures in conjunction with therapeutic respiratory therapy equipment.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Currently enrolled, with successful completion of three semesters, and in good standing with a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) approved respiratory care program.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the administration of prescribed doses of medical gases.
• Assists in the set-up and administration of therapeutic treatment and aerosolized drugs to patients.
• Uses oxygen mixtures in conjunction with therapeutic respiratory therapy equipment.
