Respiratory Equipment Technician
About The Position
The Hospital of Central Connecticut is an acute-care community teaching hospital, we provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services in general medicine and surgery, as well as a wide variety of specialties. Staffed by our talented team of leading professionals, The Hospital of Central Connecticut provides a wide array of services throughout the region, caring for patients from birth through the end of life. Equipment Technician performs support duties for the department such as maintaining inventory of equipment, stocks, verifies proper functioning and placement of equipment, troubleshoots and performs quality assurance testing on equipment. Reports to Department Manager.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Must be a self-starter, demonstrate resourcefulness and work independently
- Must be able to perform moderately strenuous tasks
- Must be able to work with high temperatures
- Must be able to work with contaminated equipment
- Must be responsible in the handling of expensive equipment
- Must be responsible in the handling of pharmaceuticals
- Demonstrate proficiency in basic computer applications used in ordering supplies
